I’m a freelance writer and up-and-coming author, as well as an accessibility and disability advocate, career advisor and educator.
I use storytelling to normalize what it’s like to live with a disability, often by writing about my lived experiences as someone with a stutter and who is neurodivergent. Read more about me and my work on my About Me page.
Accessibility Work
As someone with a disability, I have carved out a professional niche in the intersection of disability and employment, having worked in accessibility consulting and academic accommodations, and written about my lived experiences of disability and issues of accessibility in the workplace for various media outlets. You can read more on my Accessibility Work page.
Workshops
I developed and led various workshops, related to disclosure, advocacy as well as improv for people who stutter, at the Canadian Stuttering Association annual conference.
Improv
In addition to writing, I ventured out of my comfort zone and into improv by taking classes at Second City. The result? I formed my own improv troupe, appropriately named Coffee Breath, and performed on stages, including Comedy Bar and Bad Dog Theatre.
Stand-Up
My love for performing and public speaking prompted me to get into stand-up comedy. I performed in shows at Free Times Cafe in and in Black Sheep Comedy’s competition at 120 Diner (pictured below). I won first place in the latter.
